Prostitution
The arrest last month of an escort service owner for accepting the earnings of a prostitute(s), is cause for Boise citizens to take a close look at prostitution in our community. Last summer Boise police issued 11 citations to massage spas, the Boise Weekly is full of ads from "escorts," as well as the Internet that give rates and services along with review of what is going on. Seems I have counted at least 50 different prostitution ads in one week alone. Come on BPD, do something. The old saying that this is a victimless crime is not true. These prostitutes are using drugs, not paying FICA or income taxes. Based on the number of prostitutes and the average charges in Boise, the unreported income goes above the several million-dollar range.

just another religous nutcase. so just legalize it, banning it will not make it go away. just like the drug warm, you take out one dealer and 2 more pop up to take his place. best thing is just ignore them.

So if they paid FICI and income taxes then this guy would be ok with prostitutes. Weird thing to be worried about. I am sure them giving the government more money is a great idea, there is nothing worst than unreported income! I am sure he is also out searching for all the 10 million illegal aliens.

I hate these freaks who want to push there "morality" on us, when they are more then likely commiting some type of in-moral offence themselves. but yet they refuse to take a look at what they do as in-moral. fucking hypocrites

Uh, is it even BPD's responsibility to make sure they are paying FICA and income taxes?
And the only way he could know they are doing drugs is if he was a customer.

The few busts that have happened were always without warning or rumor as I recall.

Gonorrhea Rates On The Rise In Idaho:
Mar 19, 2007 by John Kelley
(KBOI News) Gonorrhea rates in Idaho have nearly tripled in the last several years according to a report for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The exact causes for that increase are not clear, however experts say changes in the testing process that pinpoint the genetic makeup of gonorrhea, and can be acquired through a urine sample, are likely revealing more cases.
That's good news according to State Epidemiologist Dr. Robert Rolfs. He says the bad news is that more people are getting gonorrhea. A separate report released last week shows Chlamydia rates are up twentysix percent in Ada County. Dr. Rolfs says this means the public is not getting enough education about sexually transmitted diseases.
The Idaho Department of Health is planning a free STD testing week for April 16-20. The Ada County Health Department is planning a summit for statewide health department personnel to discuss the rise of sexually transmitted diseases on April 27th.

A GOOD reason not to see a Married escort!
FORT WORTH, Texas (March 31) - Darrell Roberson came home early from work to find his wife rolling around with another man in their bedroom.
Caught in the act with her Client, Tracy Denise Roberson - thinking quickly, if not clearly - cried rape, authorities say. Her husband pulled a gun and killed the other man with a shot to the head.
On Thursday, a grand jury handed up a manslaughter indictment - against the wife, not the husband.
In a case likely to reinforce the state's reputation for don't-mess-with-Texas justice, the grand jury declined to charge the husband with murder, the charge on which he was arrested by police.
"If I found somebody with my wife or with my kids in my house, there's no telling what I might do," said Juan Muniz, 33, who was having lunch Friday with one of his two small children at a restaurant in the middle-class suburban Dallas neighborhood where the Robersons lived. "I probably would have done the same thing."
Tracy Roberson, 35, could get up to 20 years in prison in the slaying of Devin LaSalle, a 32-year-old UPS employee.
Assistant District Attorney Sean Colston declined to comment on specifics of the case or the grand jury proceedings but said Texas law allows a defendant to claim justification if he has "a reasonable belief that his actions are necessary, even though what they believe at the time turns out not to be true."
Mark Osler, a Baylor University law school professor and a former federal prosecutor, said the grand jurors evidently put themselves in the husband's place: "I can see one of them saying, `I would have shot the guy, too. I was just protecting my wife.'"
The evidence presented to the grand jury showed that Tracy Robertson was providing escort services while her husband was at work. Email records and cell phone calls show that the night before the shooting, Tracy Roberson sent LaSalle a text message that read in part, "Hi friend, come see me please! I need to feel your warm embrace!" and bring the donation, according to court papers. LaSalle apparently agreed.

Texas has very liberal gun laws in terms of shooting people. Good place not to piss someone off.

Did anyone see 20/20 lastnight...?Did thaey say who it was?
ABC reported yesterday that one of the prominent Washington men named as a customer of the so-called “D.C. Madam” will testify he had sex with a woman or women from the now-infamous Pamela Martin and Associates escort service - undermining Jeane Palfrey’s claim that her women were not paid for sex. That prominent Washington man that agreed to testify is now retired and resides in Boise Idaho, so far his identity has been kept secret.
A lawyer for Washington Times columnist and military analyst Harlan Ullman says that is what he’ll say if he is called to testify by Palfrey, accused of running an illegal prostitution ring. ABC was expected to release more names last night on 20/20.

Yes that would be interesting to see, not to mention the internal affairs investigations they may have to do :). and if they do publish the lists, let's hope they don't sanitize those records.
but then agian, would it be legal for them to do so? to publish someone else's phone records with out there permission? seems like there may be some legal issues they are setting themselves up for? unless those phone records were used as evidence, then it maybe open for public record.
anyone care to chime in?
maybe time to start using payphone and throw away cell phones, and using someone elses public wifi connection :)

Did some cursory checking, Unless there is an on going investigation by LE all Court Records are considered Public Record and can be obtained by written request FOIA, (freedom of information act) Some personal info may be blacked out but the record is open, evidence testimony etc 1.00 per page charge in Ada County ...only Family Court (Divorce & Child Custody hearings are taboo. So I wonder if the black books and phone records in the teague case are accessable?
